Websites don't stay important for the same reasons forever, and Garth's is a good example of that.
When Common Ground was still building its name, the website mattered. Garth used the WordPress blog to show his knowledge, share results, and prove he could deliver, exactly what a growing business needs when it's still earning trust. It worked. Years of consistent, good work followed, and Common Ground built the kind of loyal client base most businesses spend a career chasing.
Somewhere along the way, a plugin issue broke the homepage, so visitors landed on the blog instead of the front page. Garth never got around to fixing it. Not because he didn't care, but because the business had moved past needing the website to do that job. Referrals and reputation had taken over. He was now in the position of choosing which clients he took on, not looking for more. Meanwhile, he was still paying for hosting on a site that no longer reflected the business.
What LAB59 built him reflects where Common Ground is now: a simple site that confirms the business is real and legitimate, without the cost or upkeep of something built for a different stage of growth.
If he ever wants the blog back, the same site can do that too. A new post is a text file and a quick update to a list, nothing more. No login screen, no database, no plugin sitting there waiting to break the homepage again.
